Two Radio Shack employees were charged after stealing merchandise, deputies say.Loss prevention staff at Radio Shack, 2356 Pine Ridge Road, discovered that the store was missing a HP Pavilion notebook computer valued at $775 and a Beltronics Vector radar detector valued at $300 after completing a merchandise inventory on Wednesday.
Michael Ricardo Moreno, 21, and John Tandy Withers, 23, both of Marco Island, were questioned by store staff. Moreno admitted to stealing the laptop and Withers admitted to stealing the radar detector and a candy bar.
Deputies charged both men with grand theft.
