Buying three roses but only paying for one is never a good idea, even on Valentine’s Day.CCSO deputies arrested Mario Rodriguez, 20, of 4524 Coral Palms Lane, No. 7, Naples, at a Golden Gate Parkway Sweetbay Supermarket shortly after 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Store employees said they saw Rodriguez go to the flower display, take two roses out of packages and bundle them with a single rose. He then went to the check-out register and paid for only the single rose. Store surveillance video backed up employees’ observations, reports said.
Rodriguez was charged with theft.
