A woman was arrested on a felony charge Wednesday after deputies say they found two young children she was caring for alone in a park trying to get into a swimming pool.
Amelle Morisma, 33, of Golden Gate was charged with child neglect.
Arrest reports say deputies found the children, ages 2 and 3, around 6 p.m. playing on a backhoe and climbing a fence in an attempt to access the community pool.
Morisma didn’t realize the children were missing shortly after 7:30 p.m., when she called the Sheriff’s Office, reports said.
