Former Employee Charged With Stealing From Equestrian Center

A 30-year-old man is facing felony charges following his arrest Thursday on charges that he stole checks from a North Naples equestrian center, sheriff’s reports said.

Timothy Loron Miller, 5230 16th Place S.W., Apt. 4, Golden Gate, was charged with uttering a forged instrument and grand theft.

Arrest reports say Miller stole two checks from an office at Bobbin Hollow Equestrian Center, 3375 Vanderbilt Beach Road, while he was employed there.

Miller forged the signature of a company official on both checks, which were cashed on July 9 at separate banks, reports said. Miller cashed one of the checks in the amount of $1,000 and had his girlfriend cash the other check, also for $1,000, reports said.

The woman told deputies she did not know the check was stolen, reports said.
