Man Charged With Threatening Woman With Knife

Deputies arrested a Golden Gate Estates man Thursday after they say he held a knife to a woman’s throat and threatened to kill her during an argument.

Ricardo Ruiz, 40, 4185 12th Ave. N.E., was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery-domestic violence.

Arrest reports say Daymarys Valdesramos, 27, told deputies that Ruiz, whom she lives with, started arguing with her at their home. She told deputies he told her that he was going to finish some beer he had in the freezer and then he was going to kill her, reports said.

Valdesramos became afraid and went into a bedroom. Ruiz followed her into the bedroom, where he threw her onto the floor and kicked her in the stomach, report said.

Ruiz then held a large silver kitchen knife to her throat and threatened to kill her, reports said.
Valdesramos got away from Ruiz and ran into the living room followed by Ruiz. Ruiz stabbed the knife into the living room wall, telling her, “This is how I’m going to kill you,’’ reports said.

Ruiz told deputies he never threatened Valdesramos with a knife, reports said.
