Crime Stoppers Tip Leads To 2 Arrests

A tip to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers led to the arrests of two people on felony weapons charges in Golden Gate on Wednesday.

Arrest reports say Deline Pierre, 19, and Victor Vilpre, 27, were arrested after a tipster told deputies that Pierre was going to be delivering firearms to her boyfriend Vilpre, a convicted felon, at an abandoned apartment in the 2300 block of 41st Street Southwest.

Deputies say Pierre delivered three guns and two boxes of ammunition in a black backpack to Vilpre. Pierre removed one of the guns from the backpack and put it into her purse and left the apartment.

When Pierre spotted deputies she jumped a fence and threw the gun into some bushes, reports said. Further investigation revealed the gun had been reported stolen out of Cape Coral.

Pierre, 619 Hope Circle, Immokalee, was charged with armed trespassing, carrying a concealed firearm and loitering and prowling.

Vilpre, who refused to give his address on arrest reports, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, armed trespassing and loitering and prowling.
