A 43-year-old woman is facing a felony charge after deputies say she beat and stabbed an East Naples woman and then tied her up with an electrical cord.
Monica Tovo, 3106 Karen Drive, Apt. 8, East Naples, was arrested early Monday and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Sheriff’s reports say Jessica Hibbler, 45, told deputies that Tovo entered her apartment in the 2800 block of Bayview Drive around 9:45 p.m. Sunday and attacked her.
Hibbler said Tovo beat her with a candlestick, stabbed her several times with a kitchen knife and tried to smother her with a pillow, sheriff’s reports said. Tovo then tied up Hibbler with an electrical cord, reports said.
Tovo washed up in Hibbler’s sink and then rode away on a bicycle, reports said.
Deputies located Tovo at her residence around 3:30 a.m. Monday and arrested her, reports said. Deputies found bloody clothing and shoes at Tovo’s residence, reports said.
