Woman Charged With Stealing Laptop

A 19-year-old woman is facing felony charges after deputies say she broke into a Golden Gate apartment and stole a laptop computer in early December.

Jassly Duverny 2173 41st St. S.W., Apt. B, Golden Gate, was arrested Monday and charged with burglary grand theft.

Arrest reports say Duverny broke into an apartment in the 2100 block of 48th Street Southwest on Dec. 5 and stole a Toshiba laptop valued at $2,000.

Duverny was identified as the suspect after her fingerprints were recovered from inside the apartment. The victims told deputies they did not know Duverny and did not give her permission to enter their home, reports said.

Deputies located Duverny at an apartmen in the 4100 block of 16th Place Southwests on Monday, where the stolen laptop was in plain view on the living room floor, reports said.
