Deputies: Employee Stole Company Checks

A 25-year-old woman is facing a felony charge after deputies say she stole more than $20,000 from the North Naples company where she worked.

Tammy Joann Badloe of Cape Coral was arrested Monday and charged with grand theft.

Badloe is charged with stealing 19 checks totaling $21,350.17 from Mimi, Jolie, Maison Inc., 5150 U.S. 41 N., according to sheriff’s reports.

An internal audit by the company showed the checks had been stolen and cashed or deposited from Nov. 6, 2007 to May 8, 2008, reports said. The audit also showed the checks had been made payable to Badloe and several of her family members, reports said.
