Fire Extinguisher Escapade Results In Charges

Two North Naples teens learned Sunday that playing with a fire extinguisher has serious consequences.

They were arrested after deputies say they deployed two fire extinguishers at a North Naples Best Western hotel. Grand theft of a fire extinguisher is a third-degree felony in Florida.

Austin Little, 14, 12867 Carrington Circle, Unit 101, and Langston Lowe, 13, 776 Hampton Circle, Unit 776, were charged with two counts of grand theft of a fire extinguisher, and one count each of criminal mischief and resisting arrest.

Reports say the teens sprayed the contents of two fire extinguishers down the third- and fourth-floor hallways of the 6400 Dudley Drive hotel and then ran from deputies as they approached them.
