A 22-year-old man is facing a felony charge after deputies say he stabbed another man multiple times during a fight outside an Everglades City bar over the weekend.
Casey Lowell Hickok, 23 Spoonbill Drive, Everglades City, was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Arrest reports say Larry Dupree, 26, and Brandon Purvis, 22, told deputies they were trying to leave Leebo’s Rock Bottom Bar, 801 Copeland Ave., around 11:45 p.m. Saturday after a fight became physical.
Hickok pulled out a knife and stabbed one of the tires on Purvis’ truck, which was parked in the bar parking lot, in an attempt to prevent Purvis and Dupree from leaving, reports said.
Hickok then attacked Dupree with the knife, cutting him on the thigh, arm and chest, reports said.
Purvis got Dupree inside his truck and drove to a nearby fire station for help, reports said. Dupree was flown by helicopter to Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment for his injuries and later released, reports said.
Deputies located Hickok on Hibiscus Avenue in Everglades City on Sunday and arrested him, reports said.
