Deputies are asking the public for help in identifying a man wanted for questioning in connection with the theft of a woman’s purse from a Publix store in North Naples in July.
Deputies say a store employee had placed her purse inside a shopping cart while she hung signs in the lobby of Publix, 2450 Vanderbilt Beach Road, around 8 a.m. on July 27. She told deputies that when she turned around to collect her belongings her purse was gone, according to sheriff’s reports.
Store security camera footage shows a man take her purse from the cart and leave the store only to return about a minute later, reports said.
Deputies have released these store security camera photos of the man.
Deputies said the man is described as white, in his late 40s or 50s with dark hair and a mustache. He was wearing a white T-shirt, dark shorts and sandals.
