3 Charged In East Naples Burglary

Three people are facing felony charges in connection with a break-in at an East Naples residence in April.

Matthew Pendarvis, 22, of Dunnellon; Albert William Clark Jr., 35, 6025 Poinsettia Ave., Apt. 8, and and Rebecca McKolay, 20, 1396 Hernando St., North Naples, are each charged with burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and grand theft.

Arrest reports say Pendarvis, Clark and McKolay broke into a house at 1039 Cardinal St. on April 10 and stole electronics, jewelry and other items totaling $6,200.

A neighbor told deputies that she saw two men and a woman coming from the back of the residence, carrying numerous items including a suitcase and a television. The three cut through the back yard and then through an opening in the fence, reports said.

Homeowner Thomas Streb told deputies that his house had been broken into and that his flat-screen television, laptop computer, jewelry, prescription medication, global positioning system, iPod, and other items were missing, reports said.

Most of the stolen items were later recovered, reports said.

Deputies said Pendarvis, Clark and McKolay matched the physical description of the suspects given by witnesses, reports said.

Deputies located Pendarvis and McKolay on Monday and arrested them.

Clark was arrested Monday at the Collier County Jail, where he has been since April 16 on unrelated felony charges.
