Ten Collier County students were recognized for posters they designed during the 2009 Red Ribbon Week celebration at a countywide Neighborhood Watch meeting, Thursday, December 3.CCSO teamed up with Drug Free Collier to promote healthy and drug-free lifestyles during Red Ribbon Week in October. Fifth-grade D.A.R.E. students in Collier County were encouraged to participate in an anti-drug art and poster contest. The posters were judged by Neighborhood Watch members.
The top six winners received a new bicycle for their artwork.
Special thanks would like to be given to Super Target, 2415 Tarpon Bay Boulevard, Golden Gate, for the donation of the new bicycles.
