Deputies Seek Man In Connection With NN Incident

Deputies want to talk to a man in connection with interaction he had with two children in North Naples on Tuesday.

Witnesses told deputies the man was driving on the 700 block of 98th Avenue North in Naples Park late Tuesday afternoon when he motioned to the children to come to his vehicle. Instead, they ran into their house. The vehicle then pulled into the driveway briefly before backing out into the street and leaving.

The man is described as a white male wearing a black V-neck T-shirt and a gold chain around his neck. Because he did not leave his car there is no description for his pants or shoes. He is described as being in his late 60s or early 70s with gray hair. Witnesses said he may have an Italian accent.

Witnesses said he was driving a small, tan four-door sedan. It had a small decal of an Italian flag on the lower portion of the windshield on the driver’s side.

Anyone with information on the man’s identity is asked to call the Collier County Sheriff’s Office at 239.252.9300 or, to remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward call Crime Stoppers at 1.800.780.TIPS (8477).
