Media Opportunity: CCSO To Help With Humane Society Move

WHAT: Inmates helping The Humane Society Naples move operations

WHEN: Monday, Jan. 25

TIME: 8 a.m.

WHERE: The Humane Society Naples, 370 Airport-Pulling Road, East Naples

SUMMARY: The Collier County Sheriff’s Office will help The Humane Society Naples make the move to its new building by contributing the services of jail inmates.

Inmates will assist the transition by moving animals, supplies and office equipment from the old building into the new one. Inmates involved in the move also participate in CCSO’s partnership program with Collier County Domestic Animal Services and have been trained in the proper handling of domestic animals. Inmates will be supervised by CCSO deputies during the move.

“We are happy to provide this volunteer service for them,” CCSO Corrections Lt. Michael Epperson said.

For more information about the move, contact The Humane Society Naples Executive Director Michael Simonik at 239-643-1880.
