Stay Safe With Crime Prevention Awareness Training

That’s the philosophy behind a special half-day crime prevention awareness workshop offered by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, the Naples Police and Fire Department and The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce.

The Feb. 24 workshop is free and open to the public. It will feature sessions on identity theft, retail crime trends, lottery scams, South American theft groups and more. The U.S. Secret Service, the Florida Lottery and the South American Theft Group Intelligence Network are among the presenters.

Special guests include Collier County Sheriff Kevin J. Rambosk and Naples Police Chief Tom Weschler.

The workshop is set for 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at North Naples Regional Park, 15000 Livingston Road, North Naples. Seating is limited, so anyone interested in attending is encouraged to sign up early. To register, leave a message at 239.793.9526, or e-mail Cpl. Carmine Marceno at carmine.marceno@colliersheriff.org.

The event is sponsored by Giovanni’s Italian Restaurant, Hooters, Allegra Print & Imaging, Jewelers International, Planet Fitness, Costco, Bonefish Grill, Sunshine Ace Hardware, Grey Oaks, and All Locks Locksmith Service.
