The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has teamed up with the Florida Department of Education in recognition of Celebrate Literacy Week 2012.
Law enforcement officers from more than 40 agencies from around Florida, including members of CCSO’s Youth Relations Bureau, are visiting classrooms to read to students, to talk about how kids can stay safe and to emphasize the importance of reading every day.
CCSO members began visiting students Monday and will continue do to so until Friday, Jan. 27. Click here to learn more about Celebrate Literacy Week 2012.
