Children ages 7-15 can compete in one of two categories. Ages 7-10 will run ¼ mile, bike for one mile and run another ¼ mile. Ages 11-15 will run ½ mile, bike for two miles and run another ½ mile. The race starts at 9 a.m.
Entry fee is $25 and proceeds will benefit the Police Unity Tour. Each participant must bring their own bike and helmet.
PUT’s mission is to raise support and awareness for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, in Washington, D.C. Each year, from May 10-12, officers pedal their bikes on a 3-day, 250-mile trek from Virginia to Washington, D.C., to honor the memory of all Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty.
