Sign Up For Golf Tourney To Honor Fallen Officers

Registrations and sponsorships are being accepted for a charity golf tournament that honors the memory of law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The Police Unity Tour Golf Tournament is set for Saturday, Oct. 18, at Forest Glen Golf and Country Club.

The Police Unity Tour is a nonprofit organization that raises awareness about officers who died in the line of duty and raises money for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.

The tournament and other fundraisers culminate in an annual 250-mile bicycle ride that ends in Washington, D.C. Eight Collier County Sheriff’s Office members have signed up to participate in the 2015 Unity Tour ride.

The cost for tournament registration is $75 before Oct. 1, and $100 per player after Oct. 1. The cost includes a buffet dinner. It will be a four-player scramble format.

Tournament sponsorships are still available. Hole sponsorships with the business or individual’s name on a hole sign are $100. Cart sponsorships with the business logo on each golf cart are $500. Other sponsorships are also available.

Forest Glen Golf and Country Club is located at 3855 Forest Glen Blvd. in East Naples. Registration starts at 11:30 a.m. and the golf tournament begins at 12:30 p.m.

Since 1997, the Police Unity Tour has raised almost $16 million for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
