New Community Gallery Exhibit To Feature Charter School Art Program

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with Gulf Coast Charter Academy South to display the works of students attending Mr. Michael Grandi’s art class.

CCSO will host a public reception for the 15th installment of the Community Gallery on Thursday, Feb. 26 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The gallery is located at the administrative offices on the second floor of CCSO headquarters, 3319 U.S. 41 E., East Naples.

The “Artistic Expressions” exhibit will feature images inspired by 21 students in third through seventh grades as they explored different techniques and mediums of art throughout the academic school year.

GCCAS enrolls 600  students in VPK through seventh grade. Its goal is to foster pride in academic achievement for all students, coupled with a concerted effort focused on the ELL (English Language Learner) population and through the STEM Model (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

The exhibit will be on display to the public through Thursday, April 30, 2015.
