Update: Can You ID These Young Men?

A citizen tip has led to the arrests of three teenagers on multiple felony counts after detectives released surveillance video showing them breaking into vehicles in a gated community in Golden Gate.

REDACTED, 15, 14889 Indigo Lakes Drive; Adam Thomazin Lindsey, 16, 14479 Jekyll Island Court; and Jacob Christopher Nicol, 17, 5117 S.W. 20th Court, were arrested Monday evening and charged with multiple counts of burglary, burglary while armed and grand theft.

From Dec. 21, 2014 to Dec. 22, 2014, several burglaries to unlocked vehicles were reported in the Laurel Lakes community. The suspects were captured breaking into cars on home video surveillance. After exhausting all investigative leads, CCSO issued a press release of the surveillance video on Feb. 20.

The video press release was published on the CCSO website and the agency’s social media platforms, including YouTube and Facebook as well as distributed to the media. An anonymous tip from the public led detectives to the suspects as a result of the video press release.

Confessions were obtained and numerous stolen items were recovered, including a .45 caliber Glock handgun that had been stolen from inside one of the vehicles.

Further investigation revealed more than 30 vehicles were left unlocked and entered by Smith,
Lindsey and Nicol in both Laurel Lakes and Indigo Lakes communities.

The investigation continues.
