Deputies Search for Missing Woman, Baby - Update

*Update: The family of Esmeralda and Jonathan Granados contacted CCSO around 8:30 a.m. and reported that they have been found at her mother's home, 113 Lakeside Drive.

Deputies are searching for a 19-year-old woman and her six-month-old son who were reported missing from their East Naples home early Wednesday morning.

The family of Esmeralda Granados believes that she took her son, Jonathan, from their home at 221 Mango Drive around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

She did not tell anyone that she was taking her son with her, including her uncle who was babysitting the child, her family has told investigators. It is also believed that she may be in the company of a boyfriend that her family does not approve of, investigators say.

Right now, deputies want to confirm that the child is with his mother. She has legal custody of him.

Esmeralda Granados was last seen leaving her home, around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday wearing a red skirt and black blouse. She had told her family that she was working at an East Naples club, but her family went to the club and found that she did not work that night.

She is Hispanic, standing 4 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 110 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. Jonathan had been wearing a blue jumper and was wrapped in a blanket.

Deputies are searching for them to make sure they are OK and confirm they are together.

Their photos are attached.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts should contact CCSO at 793-9300.
