A Golden Gate man was arrested and charged after refusing to pull over during a traffic stop Tuesday evening, deputies say.
Deputies were patrolling Hunter Boulevard near 24th Avenue Southwest when they saw Asmick Rosseau, 31, 2530 Tropicana Blvd. Apt. #D, make a very wide left-hand turn causing his Sports Utility Vehicle onto a bike lane.
Rosseau sped up when deputies tried to pull him over and made a right turn into the K-Mart shopping plaza, 4955 Golden Gate Parkway. Rosseau lost control of his SUV, drove over a sidewalk and hit a laundry business at the corner of the plaza.
Rosseau was charged with fleeing a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer without violence and driving with no valid license.
