Deputies are investigating a report of an armed robbery Wednesday night in East Naples.
Reports say Jorge Tovar, 32, and Sylvia Lopez, 27, were walking home south on Georgia Drive near Confederate Drive in Naples Manor shortly after 8 p.m. when a gray four-door car heading north stopped near them.
Two men jumped out of the car and pointed guns at Tovar and Lopez, demanding money. Tovar threw his wallet onto the ground. Lopez pulled out change from her pants pocket and threw it onto the ground.
The robbers picked up the money and sped off in the car.
An investigation continues.
