Bicyclist Robbed In East Naples

A man told deputies that two men with handguns stole his money while he was riding his bicycle in East Naples over the weekend.

Reports say Tirso Agudo, 32, told deputies he was riding his bike home along the 3000 block of Van Buren Avenue around 8 p.m. Saturday when a gray four-door vehicle slowly passed him and then cut in front of him, causing him to stop.

The driver and passenger got out of the vehicle, carrying handguns and demanding money. One of the men removed Agudo’s wallet, which contained $103.

The robbers then drove away.

An investigation continues.
