Pedro Rangel Guirado, 25, and Fernando De Dios-Reyes, 31, were charged with grand theft.
Reports say Guirado and Dios-Reyes were loading pallets of cardboard into a white box truck near the rear loading dock outside the Wal-Mart Market, 5010 Airport-Pulling Road N. when deputies arrived around 11:45 p.m.
A Wal-Mart employee told deputies that she watched Guirado and Dios-Reyes load the cardboard onto the truck from a store surveillance camera. She told another employee to go outside and watch them while she called authorities, reports said.
Guirado and Dios-Reyes told deputies they thought the pallets were trash. Three pallets, valued at $300 apiece, had already been unloaded and about 10 pallets had yet to be placed, reports said.
