A North Naples teenager was arrested and charged after keying a car at the Coastland Center mall parking lot in December.
Daniel Herron, 19, reported that someone caused more than $1,100 worth of damage to his car while he was working at Hollister on Dec. 27.
Herron believed the damage may have been done by the ex-boyfriend of one of his friends. Herron told investigators that he received harassing phone calls from this teenager.
Deputies spoke with that teen and learned that he did not key the car, but that he saw his friend, Nicholas George Tillery, 17, 1940 Bethany Place, near Herron’s car that night.
Tillery was located at Barron Collier High School early Tuesday and investigators charged him with criminal mischief.
