Family Fight Ends In Arrest

A man was arrested Wednesday after deputies say he threatened his stepbrother with a knife during a fight at an East Naples park.

Nicholas Francis Vigeant, 25, 8690 Weir Drive, Apt. 305, East Naples, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief.

Reports say that Vigeant met his stepbrother William McDonald at Palm Springs public park 658 Palm Lake Drive around 6 p.m.to discuss family matters. The discussion became heated and Vigeant’s girlfriend Falon Marie Cronk began cursing and pointing at McDonald.

McDonald told deputies that Cronk pushed him and came at him again. He pushed her away.
Vigeant pulled out a pocket knife and began swinging it, threatening to stab McDonald.

McDonald said he tackled Vigeant to the ground in an attempt to get the knife. McDonald cut his finger on the knife, causing him to get nervous and walk away.

McDonald said that as he was getting into his truck, Vigeant punctured the right front tire with the knife.
