Armed Robbery Arrest

A teenager is missing his Miami Hurricanes hat after he told deputies he was robbed by a man who threatened him with scissors while he rode his bicycle in Golden Gate on Sunday night.

Felix Anselmo, 29, 2117 Sunshine Blvd., Apt. A, Golden Gate, was arrested and charged with armed robbery.

Reports say Ergy Staco, 15, told deputies that he was riding his bike north on Sunshine Boulevard about 7:30 p.m. when he was stopped by a man who threatened him with a pair of yellow scissors and demanded the property from his pockets.

The man then pointed the scissors at Staco’s face and demanded the teen’s Miami Hurricanes hat.

The teen gave the man his hat and then rode away on his bicycle.

Anselmo was sitting in front of his residence, which is the same place where the robbery took place, when deputies arrived with the teen, who identified Anselmo as the man who robbed him.

A search turned up a pair of 8-inch yellow scissors in Anselmo’s right pocket.
