Update: Roderick Sullivan has been located. He was found by a CCSO deputy early this morning during a traffic stop. The deputy noticed a car matching the description of Sullivan's driving at a slow speed. When he ran the license plate he discovered it was Sullivan's. He pulled the car over on Livingston Road just south of Pine Ridge Road. Sullivan is now safe and back with his family.
Collier County deputies are searching for an 83-year-old East Naples man who has been missing since 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Roderick Sullivan was last seen in the area of U.S. 41 and Airport-Pulling Road driving a gray Toyota Corolla with a blue handicapped placard hanging from the rear-view mirror. Family members searched for him unsuccessfully and called deputies to assist them this afternoon.
Sullivan is described as 6 feet, 1 inch tall. He was last seen wearing a blue and white striped shirt, khaki shorts and support hose.
Deputies ask that anyone who sees Sullivan or the Toyota, which has a license plate of T160HI, call CCSO at 793-9300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-8477.
