Pizzeria Manager Robbed

Deputies are investigating a report of a robbery outside a Golden Gate pizzeria Sunday.

Reports say manager Alberto Garcia, 18, was attacked by another man as he was leaving Il Primo, 5248 Golden Gate Parkway , around 1:40 a.m. to make the nightly cash deposit.

Garcia told deputies that he left the pizzeria through the rear door and was walking toward his car when a man came up from behind and punched him in the head, causing him to fall to the ground.

The robber grabbed the night deposit bag with an undisclosed amount of cash inside and ran off.

Garcia did not have any visible injuries. He told deputies the robber was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, but was unable to provide further details.

An investigation continues.
