A Naples man was arrested Monday after employees at a local Albertson’s store say he stole what some would consider an odd combination of items: two 12-packs of beer, salt, pepper and garlic salt.
An employee at Albertson’s, 3350 U.S. 41 East, told deputies he saw the man put the beer and seasonings into his backpack shortly before noon and then leave the store without paying for them. He escorted the man back into the store and called deputies.
Kevin Payne, 49, 2201 Airport Road, was charged with theft.
