CCSO deputies made the agency’s 13th grow house bust of the year Wednesday, arresting a Golden Gate Estates man and confiscating $180,000 worth of marijuana plants and $5,000 worth of growing equipment.
Miguel Curiel, 40, 3390 50th Ave. N.E., was charged with manufacturing marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Reports said Curiel’s garage had been converted to accommodate the grow operation. In it, deputies found 60 marijuana plants with a combined weight of 30 pounds. Cooling units, transformers and additional lighting were discovered as well. A room inside the home had been modified to grow marijuana but no plants were found inside it.
