Deputies Seek Clues From Public In Holocaust Museum Vandalism

What: Criminal mischief

When: Sometime between Monday night, Feb. 10, and early Tuesday morning, Feb. 11.

Victim: Holocaust Museum of Southwest Florida, 4760 U.S. 41 N., North Naples.

Collier County sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s help in their investigation into a report of vandalism at the local Holocaust museum.

Sometime overnight Monday somebody smashed the large front window of the museum. A rock was found on the ground outside the museum and deputies believe vandals used it to smash the window.

It did not appear that vandals entered the museum, deputies said.

Investigators said there is currently no evidence to suggest this is a hate crime; other surrounding businesses have reported similar incidents over the past few years.

The CCSO continues to investigate.

Anyone with information is asked to call CCSO Sgt. Brian Sawyer at 793-9523, or call the Sheriff’s Office at 775-TIPS (8477).
