Deputies: Son Pushed Father During Argument

A man was arrested Tuesday night after deputies say he pushed his 72-year-old father to the ground during an argument over car keys.

Michael Henry Castro, 49, 390 4th St. S.E., Golden Gate Estates, was charge with battery on a person 65 years or older.

Reports say William Castro, of the same address, told deputies that he and his son were arguing around 9 p.m. over the keys to his van. William Castro said his son frequently takes his van without his permission.

When William Castro asked his son to return the keys Tuesday, Michael Castro became angry and shoved an unopened bag of potato chips in his father’s face.

Michael Castro then pushed his father backward, causing William Castro, who wears a prosthetic limb on his left leg, to hit his head on the kitchen floor.
