Deputies: Man Tried To Lure Teen

Deputies arrested a 74-year-old man Thursday after they say he grabbed a 14-year-old girl and tried to lure her away as she sat outside a North Naples bagel shop.

Bobby Gene Bordges, 1545 Oyster Catcher Pointe, Apt. B, Naples, was charged with luring and enticing, a felony.

Arrest reports say the teen was sitting outside Einstein Bagels, 5311 Airport-Pulling Road in the Bed Bath & Beyond plaza, around 3:55 p.m. when Bordges approached her and told her that she looked lonely and that she was pretty.

Bordges then grabbed her hand and urged her to come with him, reports said. She refused and he grasped her hand more firmly and pulled her toward him, reports said.

The teen pulled her hand away from Bordges and went inside the bagel shop and sought help from an adult patron, reports said.

The patron went outside to confront Bordges, who ran away. The patron alerted deputies.

Deputies canvassed the area and located Bordges outside a restaurant in the shopping plaza. The teen identified Bordges as the man who grabbed her.
