Deputies arrested a 41-year-old man on felony charges Tuesday after they say he threatened a neighbor with a gun and punched him in the face.
Cary Weston Hubbard, 1224 Rosemary Lane, North Naples, was charged with felony battery, possession of cocaine and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.
Arrest reports say that the neighbor, Stephen Schessler, was over at Hubbard’s residence when Hubbard became upset, wanting to know why Schessler “had been talking about him,’’ reports said.
Hubbard held a handgun against Schessler’s head and demanded to know who Schessler had been talking to about him, reports said. Schessler told deputies that Hubbard threatened to kill him if he didn’t tell him, reports said.
Schessler, 45, was able to talk his way out of the situation and leave the house, reports said. Hubbard followed Schessler outside and punched him in the nose, reports said.
Deputies searched Hubbard’s room and turned up 5.96 grams of cocaine in his dresser, along with two scales and miscellaneous other drug paraphernalia, reports said.
Hubbard is a documented career criminal in Collier County, according to reports.
