SUMMARY: An Immokalee man has been charged in a 1995 homicide in Immokalee. Santos Navarro Osornio, 76, is charged with second-degree murder.
On Jan. 5, 1995, Osornio, owner of Santos’ Corner, told deputies he shot an intruder in a room in Santos’ Corner. When deputies arrived they found Bustamante-Rodriguez’s body.
Osornio refused to discuss the shooting further. New evidence and information was developed recently about the shooting.
Using those details, deputies had enough information to get an arrest warrant for Osornio.
That warrant was issued Thursday.
