Robbery Arrest

A 22-year-old man was arrested after deputies say he attacked and robbed another man on an Immokalee street over the weekend.

Jose Noe Vidaurri, 914 Eggplant Lane, Immokalee, was charged with robbery.

Arrest Reports say Gerardo Sanchez, 43, told deputies that he was walking to work along Boston Avenue near 4th Street shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday when Vidaurri attacked him from behind.

Vidaurri put his arm around Sanchez’s neck and pushed him to the ground, reports said. Vidaurri then went through Sanchez’s pockets and stole his wallet with $390 cash inside and two cell phones, reports said. Vidaurri then removed the pink and white shirt he was wearing and threw it onto the ground, reports said.

Deputies located Vidaurri a short while later. Vidaurri denied robbing Sanchez, reports said. A search of Vidaurri turned up Sanchez’s two cell phones and $390 cash, reports said.
