Deputies: Robber Who Stole Car Arrested

Deputies arrested a 27-year-old man Monday on charges he beat and robbed another man and then stole his car in Immokalee.

Ricardo Concepcion Jr., 741 El Paso Trail, Immokalee, was arrested on a warrant charging him with robbery, grand theft, grand theft auto, battery, and assault.

Arrest reports say Jose Diaz Ruiz told deputies that a friend was driving him home from a party in his Nissan pickup on April 26 when the friend drove to a house off Little League Road in
Immokalee and picked up Concepcion, whom he did not know.

They drove to an area off Pepper Road where Diaz Ruiz got out of the pickup followed by Concepcion. Concepcion struck Diaz Ruiz in the back of the head and kicked him in the face, saying, “Give me all that you have or I will kill you,” arrest reports said.

Concepcion took Diaz Ruiz’s gold chain, three rings, cell phone, bracelet and wallet with $700 cash inside, arrest reports said. Diaz Ruiz's friend tried to help him but Concepcion assaulted the friend, reports said. Concepcion drove away in Diaz Ruiz’s pickup, reports said.

Concepcion was arrested Monday at the Collier County jail, where he was being held on two active warrants unrelated to this incident, reports said.
