A man who deputies say is a career criminal was arrested Thursday after they found crack cocaine in his car, sheriff’s reports said.
Anthony Rivera, 44, 2601 44th St. S.W., Golden Gate, was charged with possession of cocaine and tampering with evidence, both felonies. He is also facing a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest.
Arrest reports say Rivera was harassing guests outside the Red Roof Inn, 1925 Davis Blvd., East Naples. Rivera was not a guest at the hotel.
Rivera was sweating profusely and exhibiting signs of possible drug use, reports said. He gave deputies permission to search his car, reports said.
The search turned up three pieces of crack cocaine, reports said.
Rivera is a documented career criminal in Collier County, reports said.
