A 26-year-old man was arrested on felony charges Thursday after deputies say he hit his girlfriend in the head with a gun following an argument in East Naples.Melvin Castellon, 5206 McCarthy St., was charged with aggravated battery and kidnap-false imprisonment.
Arrest reports say Candace Talaga, 19, told deputies that she and her boyfriend Castellon had an argument at his residence on Tuesday.
Castellon then suggested they go visit friends and brought along a handgun, telling Talaga he might need to use it, reports said.
Inside the car, Castellon hit Talaga on the head with the gun barrel, causing a small laceration, reports said. He also kept her from leaving the car while holding the gun to her her side and threatening her, reports said.
