Child Missing In East Naples

Deputies are searching for an 8-year-old East Naples girl who has been missing since Saturday morning.

Deputies say Mary Williams was last seen by her stepfather around 9 a.m. leaving their house at 5218 Broward St. to go play with friends, deputies said.

When she wasn’t home by noon her stepfather started looking for her. Her parents reported her missing after her mother came home from work around 4 p.m. and Mary still hadn’t returned, deputies said.

Her parents told deputies that Mary routinely visits friends in the neighborhood. She normally comes home for lunch and calls her mother at work on the telephone to let her know her whereabouts. Deputies said Mary did not come home for lunch or check in with her mother Saturday.

Deputies say Mary is black with brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt and a white and pink skirt. Her long brown hair was pulled back in a bun.

Deputies said foul play is not suspected at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Collier County Sheriff’s Office at 793-9300.
