With identity theft on the rise, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office is offering a course to help protect your identity, your safety and your financial well-being.
The hourlong course is scheduled for Tuesday, July 3, at 10 a.m. at the Sheriff’s Office’s Professional Development Center, 615 Third Ave. S., room 108, Naples.
The course is free and open to the public.
Lt. Chad Parker of the sheriff’s Financial Crimes Bureau will teach the course, which he said will focus on what people can do to minimize becoming a victim of identity theft.
The course will also discuss current scams in Southwest Florida and how to recognize them.
Seating is limited.
