CCSO Offers New Jail Visitation Option

A new jail visitation option at the Collier County Sheriff’s Office provides friends and family members of inmates with the ability to visit their incarcerated loved one from the convenience of home, an office or anyplace equipped with a computer, high-speed Internet access and a web camera.

At-home visitation allows visitors to avoid the transportation and parking issues associated with an on-site visit. In addition, family members and friends can gather in one location and visit with the inmate together. Remote visits are offered from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., noon to 4 p.m., and 5 to 10 p.m. daily.

CCSO will also continue to offer on-site video visitation. The Naples Visitation Center is located in the Collier County government complex, 3311 U.S. 41 E. The Immokalee Visitation Center is located at 302 Stockade Road, Immokalee. On-site hours are noon to 4 p.m. daily.

Visitors pay an introductory fee of $5 to visit remotely. A portion of the proceeds goes to the agency’s Inmate Welfare Fund. Those dollars are used to pay for programs and other items that directly benefit inmates. The remaining proceeds fund the remote visitation system.

All visitors must initially create a user account. To create an account or to schedule a remote visitation appointment, go to www.visitfromhome.net. A current government-issued photo ID is required.
