Employee Charged With Stealing From NN Business

A 22-year-old woman was arrested Thursday after deputies say she stole money from the North Naples business where she works and a co-worker in separate incidents in June.

Christine Kingma, 3061 4th St. N.E., Golden Gate Estates, was charged with grand theft.

Arrest reports say Kingma entered an unlocked office at Everlast Tools and Saw, 1478 Railhead Blvd., where she is a clerk, on June 5 and stole $900 cash from a filing cabinet.

On June 26 Kingma removed $335 cash from a purse belonging to one of her co-workers, arrest reports said.

Deputies questioned Kingma about the thefts in July and she denied any involvement. They questioned her again Thursday following her arrest earlier in the day on unrelated felony and misdemeanor charges in connection with thefts reported at two stores at Waterside Shops this week, arrest reports said.

Kingma was additionally charged with grand theft after deputies say she stole a pair of Louis Vuitton sunglasses valued at $560 from the Louis Vuitton store on Tuesday.

Deputies say she also stole a designer scarf valued at $58 from Coach on Wednesday, reports said. She is charged with petty theft in connection with that theft.
