Composite Released In Estates Suspicious Incident



Deputies are investigating after two boys reported they were approached by a stranger in Golden Gate Estates on Thursday evening.

The boys, ages 9 and 10, told deputies they were walking along 12th Street Northeast, off Golden Gate Boulevard, around 6:30 p.m. when they were approached by a man in a truck who made suspicious comments toward them.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has released a composite image of the man based on the boys’ description.

Detectives said the man was described as white, possibly in his 60s or 70s and very short in stature with a very thin build.

His vehicle was described as an older model black pickup with an extended cab and a ladder strapped to the roof. The truck had minor dents and scratches and rusty patches on it.

He was last seen driving south on 12th Street Northeast.
