Illegal Tattooing Arrest

An Immokalee tattoo artist never got to finish a job after deputies arrested him for having a homemade tattooing device.

Jesus Rolando Plata, 18, 1709 7th Ave., Immokalee, was charged with unlawful tattooing.
Reports say Plata was tattooing a minor girl when deputies arrived at his residence to execute a search warrant around 7 p.m. Friday.

The girl’s father told deputies that he did not give Plata permission to tattoo his daughter, who reports said is younger than 18. The girl was left with an incomplete tattoo on her leg, reports said.

In addition to the homemade tattooing, a pair of brass knuckles and a mini digital scale were also seized.

Plata was also charged with possession of narcotic paraphernalia and marijuana possession.
Another man at the residence was also arrested on charges of having counterfeit documents.

Hedra Lopez, 30, 3702 6th St. W., Lehigh Acres, was charged with fraud-unauthorized possession of a forged or stolen ID card or driver’s license.
